Is the vehicle reliable? Absolutely, these vehicles made the trip from China to SA in one piece and with very few problems - absolutely remarkable.
How long will it take for my vehicle to arrive? Our clock starts ticking once funds have been received and cleared. The time frame is generally 2-3 weeks.
Can I get spare parts? Yes, we carry full spares back up and parts, and our main dealers have R7 million worth of parts in Johannesburg at any given time, and the substanial backing of the Auto Haus Gobel Group. If you are an exporter we can arrange for you to be billed with spare parts 'packs' at each service interval. When you purchase your Chana you will be assigned a service buddy to assist with any potential problems.
How often does the Chana need servicing? Our regular service intervals are every 10 000 kms, a lot longer than the ordinary bakkie's 5000 km service interval.
What guarantee do I have? All vehicles come with a 1 year/50 000 km warranty. You will get a warranty book with your new vehicle at handover date.
What happens when the duty rates move? We have no control over the duty rates of whichever country we are exporting to.
What is C.I.F Harare? C.I.F stands for Cost Insurance Freight this is what you pay excluding duties and clearing to get the vehicle to Harare.
What if anything do I need to be aware of when I purchase this vehicle? These vehicles do not have ABS so care must be taken when driving in the wet. Also under no circumstances must the radiator be opened when hot, this will result in a possible engine seizure.
How many Chana vehicles have been sold in southern Africa ? As of August 2008 just under 9000 units have been sold in southern Africa, and last year 550 000 units were sold in China.
